Akim Cursive’ is a hand created by calligrapher Hans-Joachim Burgert and is said to replicate the rhythm of the human heart.

Hans-Joachim Burgert (1928-2009) was a calligrapher, sculptor, and educator. He was instrumental in the foundation of the Berlin Calligraphy Collection at the Akademie der Künste by donating seventy works to the collection.
